About the Course

Workplaces are such a precious space. It’s so powerful because it puts together the energy of more individuals, and it’s so fragile because of the conflicts that the stress culture and a hierarchical structure easily create.

It’s very sensitive to acknowledge, respect, and integrate the diversity in a working community. It’s rather delicate to create supporting communication patterns in communication between different hierarchical levels in the structure of a workspace.

It is difficult, and it’s also not impossible!

If you are interested, I would love to brainstorm with you if and how I could support your mission the most.

Some inspiration on how I could contribute in the following:

IN-HOUSE COUNSELLING

Why to have an in-house counsellor?

• Supporting a peaceful work environment, which is more productive.

• Taking part in the raising awareness of mental health value.

• Improving staff communication skills to reach more quickly an understanding

and support that will consequently achieve business goals.

• Aligning to this choice already made by small, medium and large companies

(including Amazon, Dell, Microsoft), demonstrating its functionality.

• Taking care of employees, who will consequently work with greater

satisfaction and therefore higher performance.

Tasks of the in-house counsellor:

• Caring for staff: the counsellor takes care of staff’s stress and mental state. A

healthy staff works with more drive and motivation.

• Cultivating business progress: when the creative minds leading a company have

room to be heard, the base for creating new, authentic and satisfying growth

strategies is present and flourishing.

• Supporting communication: instead of unproductive complaints, the counsellor

can either collect and present them in a fertile way or support the communication

of that.

• Mediating: if individuals, departments, different hierarchies in the company are

unable to communicate and reach agreements, the counsellor will offer

herself as a third person to facilitate listening between the parties to find a

solution that satisfies them both.

Modalities and timing:

The most fruitful solution appears to be the availability of the counsellor for four hours a day

during office hours so that everyone can benefit of it, suggesting sessions of about an hour for

individuals and at least two hours for mediations. If you immagine something different to serve you more, I'm very open for a dialogue around how to contribute to you in the most meaningful way.

NONVIOLENT COMUNICATION COURSE

It's the same course as the one I offer for privates, the frame offer space to explore working dynamics.

MEDIATION

If individuals, departments, different hierarchies in the company are unable to communicate and reach

agreements, I offer myself as a third person to facilitate listening between the parties to find a solution that satisfies them both

Martina Pesce

Martina Pesce is a seasoned Nonviolent Communication (NVC) practitioner with extensive experience in mediation, one-on-one sessions, courses, meditation, and facilitation. She has transitioned from a robust background in neuroscience to a dedicated focus on NVC.
Martina holds a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi di Genova and a Master's degree in Cognitive Neurobiology and Clinical Neurophysiology from the University of Amsterdam. She spent over three years in academic research, exploring topics such as empathy, memory, and brain stimulation devices at prestigious institutions like the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience (NIN), and Bellvitge Hospital. During this time, she honed her expertise in research design, scientific methods, animal and human studies, science outreach, and scholarly writing.
Her scientific journey equipped her with a comprehensive skill set, which she has seamlessly integrated into her NVC practice. Martina rigorously trained at the Connecting2life NVC school in Amsterdam under the mentorship of Yoram Mosenzon, completing basic, intermediate, and advanced personal development courses. She further specialized through yearly courses in training the trainer, NVC embodiment, and NVC mediation. For over a year, she has been assisting with these courses at the Connecting2life school.
Martina also runs her own business, Crafting Dialogues, offering her services independently. Over the past year, she has conducted introductory workshops across Europe, basic courses in Italian and English, and mediation and one-on-one sessions for private clients and workplaces. She occasionally provides sessions in a more informal and less stigmatized manner, promoting openness towards mental health support.
Her approach to NVC emphasizes the embodiment of its principles through practical exercises and practices, ensuring integration into everyday life rather than remaining purely intellectual. This methodology is supported by her certifications in embodiment (one-week intensive coaching certification from Mark Walsh, CEO of Embodiment Unlimited) and tantra (300-hour tantra teacher training from Aum Tantra Yoga).
Martina's unique blend of scientific knowledge and NVC expertise makes her a distinguished practitioner in fostering effective and compassionate communication.
